We want to make the community aware that there has been a recent rise in reports of motorbike thefts in the area. Local officers are actively investigating these incidents, and your vigilance can make a real difference.

To help protect your motorbike, please consider the following crime‑prevention advice:

How to Keep Your Motorbike Safe

Use high‑quality locks such as disc locks, chain locks, or ground anchors.

Always secure your bike to a fixed, immovable object when possible.

Park in well‑lit, busy areas or designated secure parking bays.

Consider installing an alarm, immobiliser, or tracking device.

Cover your motorbike to make it less visible and less appealing to thieves.

Store your keys securely and avoid leaving them near doors or windows.

If you have CCTV or video doorbells, ensure they are working and positioned to capture your parking area.

Reporting Suspicious Activity

If you see anything suspicious or believe a crime is in progress, please report it immediately:

999 – for emergencies or if a crime is happening right now

101 – to report non‑emergency information or suspicious behaviour
